dear friend of my cousin

Thank you for an absolutely delightful chat today over lunch. It’s rare I can talk about behavioral economics and feminist theory in one two hour chunk, so thank you so much for this lovely opportunity.
You are kind, inspiring, and so very interesting and (even though you live in a different city 7 hours away) I’m hopeful this is the beginning of a very fun friendship

dear coworker(s),

Thank you so much for being so welcoming today.
I wasn’t sure I was ready to come back to this side of the office, but after receiving such kind, unexpected “Glad to have you back!,” “It was too quiet over here,” and “It didn’t feel the same,” I am more than excited to bound back into my old office chair and re-take up residence at our white board inspirational quote board.
I know that sometimes I can blurt out awkward things on our coffee runs, or interrupt inappropriately in meetings… but really, I try so hard to and I love you all so much!
I can’t tell you how much it means to know that you missed me.
I missed all of you too. More than you would like to know
love,
your awkward filter-less coworker
